Acrylic Color Matching Solutions

A specific color of acrylic is no longer available off-the-shelf.

We’ve had customers run into situations where they have been working on a long-running project using a specific color of acrylic sheet, only to find that the color of acrylic they have been buying is no longer available off the shelf.

In other cases, we have customers who are refurbishing legacy devices and need a specific color of acrylic to match the material that was used when the products were originally built years ago. This seems to happen a lot with avionics, where production and support of a product will last for decades, and making design changes is not an option.

CLAREX is able to color match!

CLAREX acrylic sheets can be made in almost any color. We mainly supply transmissive colored sheets, but translucent and opaque colored sheets are available as well.

CLAREX has an extensive portfolio of color formulations. If none of the existing color formulations work for you, no problem. For a nominal fee, CLAREX can take your color specs or a sample piece of the material you are trying to match, and they can formulate the color.

AT A GLANCE

Replacement windows for a legacy display.

One of our customers was in a bind. They were awarded a contract to refurbish a batch of legacy avionics displays. However, they couldn’t find the specific color of acrylic needed to match the material that’d been spec’d After giving us a call, we walked them through the process…

The customer sent us a sample of the material they needed to match.
The factory measured the transmission and created the proper pigment/dye formulation.
The factory supplied finished sheets in the requested color.

The customer was able to choose the thickness and coatings, and was able to purchase the custom sheets in low volume.
