We’re able to cut 2-Dimensional profiles and features using our precision CNC Laser Cutters. From small parts down to 0.25″ (6mm) diameter and up to 4×4′ (1210x1210mm). Our high powered lasers could cut through cast acrylic up to 1″ (25mm) thick, and make quick work of the thinner sheets we typically deal with. Cast acrylic cuts great with the lasers, with a semi-polished edge finish. Results vary with other materials.

Laser cutting is quick to setup and run, and doesn’t require special tooling or fixtures. So we’re typically able to turn around laser cut jobs within days.

We’ll use our 3-Axis CNC Routers for parts that have 2.5-Dimensional features, such as counterbore/sinks, bevels, pockets, or step cuts. We can also use the Routers to machine 2D parts from materials which don’t Laser cut very well on the laser, such as Polycarbonate. We can handle small parts from 0.25″ (6mm) up to 4×8′ (1210x2420mm).

CNC Routing requires more setup time and fixturing than the lasers, so we typically need 3-5 weeks lead time for CNC routed parts.

We’re able to apply adhesive with liners to the finished parts. Typically they are added around the perimeter of a part, but it could also be applied selectively on the parts. Then all you have to do is peel the liner and stick the part in place in your assembly. We typically use 2side adhesives from 0.002″ (0.05mm) up to 0.040″ (1.0mm) thick as specified by our customers. Some of the more common adhesives we use and typically have available in the shop are 3M 9485PC, 3M 9474LE, 3M 4929, 3M 4949, 3M 4930, 3M 467MP, & 3M 468MP.
