CLAREX High Transmission Light Diffusers (DR-IIICX)

High-transmission acrylic diffusers designed for backlight displays and other light diffusion applications.

CLAREX DR-IIICX light diffusers are made by incorporating light-scattering particles into clear cast acrylic and applying a heavy matte texture to both surfaces. The result is a diffuser that helps maintain high brightness while improving light uniformity and reducing hot spots.

Available in transmission levels from 45% to 93% in 5% increments, DR-IIICX can be selected to match the brightness and diffusion requirements of the application. These diffusers are often used as replacements for OEM LED backlight diffusers, as well as in flash and other lighting applications where color quality matters.

  • Minimal Color Shift – Standard DR-IIICX diffusers are pure white, making them a strong choice for flash, lighting, and other applications where accurate color rendition matters.

How Acrylic Diffusers Work

High transmission light diffusers use light-scattering particles and surface texture to spread light more evenly while still allowing a high percentage of light to pass through. This helps reduce hot spots, improve uniformity, and maintain brightness in backlight, flash, and other lighting applications.
