Low-Moisture Absorption Acrylic Sheets (LA1)

A low-moisture acrylic formulation designed for improved dimensional stability in laminated and printed applications.

CLAREX low-moisture absorption acrylic (LA1) is a specialty optical-grade cell-cast acrylic formulated to absorb less moisture than standard acrylic. By reducing moisture uptake, LA1 helps minimize bowing and warping in laminated constructions while supporting tighter dimensional control.

LA1 is especially well-suited for laminating applications where flatness and stability are important, as well as printing applications that benefit from improved definition. It is a strong option for designs that need the optical clarity of acrylic with reduced expansion/contraction caused by moisture absorption.

Benefits of Low Moisture Absorption Acrylic

Made from high-quality cell-cast acrylic for applications that require optical clarity and consistency.

Formulated to absorb less moisture than standard acrylic, helping minimize bowing and warp in laminated assemblies.

Improved dimensional stability helps maintain tighter part tolerances where fit, flatness, and consistency matter.

Provides a more stable substrate for printing applications, helping support sharper, higher-definition results.

Offers optical performance without retardation or birefringence for demanding visual and display applications.

UV-transmission types are available, and custom color matching can be provided if a standard color does not meet your needs.
