TechPC-AR Large Anti-Reflective Polycarbonate Sheets

Large, extruded polycarbonate sheets with hard-coat and double-sided anti-reflective coatings for applications that require large AR-coated PC parts.

Large anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets are commonly used as protective front panels for large digital displays, enclosures, and other protective applications. They are intended for projects where standard CLAREX polycarbonate sheet sizes or thicknesses are not sufficient.

These sheets start with commercial-grade clear extruded polycarbonate, followed by flow-coated hard-coat on both sides, and finished with a multi-layer vacuum-deposition anti-reflective coating on both sides. This coating process helps ensure consistent performance across the entire sheet, which is especially important when working with large polycarbonate sheets used in high-visibility environments. An oleophobic coating is also added to help reduce smudging and make the surface easier to clean.

The result is a clear polycarbonate sheet with very low reflections (<2%) and high transmission (>94%) across the visible range. This combination of high transmission and low reflectivity helps preserve image clarity, readability, and visual contrast. We typically stock these anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets in 48 x 96″.

Benefits of Large Anti-Reflective Polycarbonate Sheets

Delivers >94% visible light transmission with <2% surface reflection for improved readability and clarity.

Large-sized polycarbonate sheets designed for large-area and display-scale applications.

Significantly stronger than acrylic or glass, making it ideal for large-format installations.

Hard-coated surfaces improve durability and resistance to abrasion and chemical exposure.

Maintains optical performance during long-term indoor and outdoor exposure.

Can be cut, machined, and finished efficiently despite large sheet dimensions.

Substantially lighter than glass panels of comparable size for easier handling and installation.

Reduces fingerprints and smudging while simplifying cleaning and maintenance on large panels.

Can be manufactured with anti-reflective coating applied to one side only to meet specific optical or cost requirements.

Common TechPC-AR Applications

Formulated for optical and display applications that require polycarbonate impact resistance, low reflection, and clear visual performance.

Ideal for display covers and viewing panels that require reduced glare, high clarity, and durable surface protection

Well-suited for protective covers, guards, and shields that need polycarbonate impact resistance with improved visibility

Suitable for large-format polycarbonate panels used in architectural features where clarity, durability, and reduced reflection are important

A strong fit for public-facing screens, kiosks, and information panels that need clear viewing and added surface durability

Helps improve visibility in bright or high-ambient-light environments by reducing surface reflection and glare

Useful for lighting covers and illuminated assemblies that benefit from high transmission, durability, and reduced surface reflection

Sample materials may be available to help you evaluate material performance.

Thickness selection depends on span, mounting method, impact resistance, and handling requirements.

  • Standard size: 3.0mm (0.118″)
  • Made-to-order: 6.0mm (0.237″)
  • Standard size: 48 x 96″
  • Custom sizes: Maximum size varies based on application, coating limits, handling, and fabrication. Contact us to discuss available options.

TechPC sheets an be fabricated and finished to customer specifications, so you receive ready-to-install components instead of oversized raw panels that are harder to handle.
