TechPC-AR Large Anti-Reflective Polycarbonate Sheets (AR Coatings)

For applications requiring large pieces of Anti-Reflective coated polycarbonate (PC), we stock large polycarbonate sheets manufactured from extruded polycarbonate with hard-coat and Anti-Reflective coatings on both sides.

Large anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets are commonly used as protective front panels for large digital displays, enclosures, and protective applications. These sheets are intended for projects where the CLAREX  polycarbonate sheet sizes or thicknesses are insufficient and larger or thicker panels are required.

These sheets start with commercial grade clear extruded polycarbonate, followed by flow coated hard-coat on both sides, and finished with a multi-layer vacuum deposition anti-reflective coating on both sides. This coating process helps ensure consistent performance across the entire sheet, which is especially important when working with large polycarbonate sheets used in high-visibility environments. An additional oleophobic coating is added to both sides to make the material easier to keep clean.

The result is a clear polycarbonate sheet with very low reflections (<2%) and high transmission (>94%) across the visible range. This combination of high transmission and low reflectivity helps preserve image clarity, readability, and visual contrast .We typically stock these anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets in 48 x 96″. These sizes are well suited for larger display applications, architectural elements, equipment covers, and protective panels.

  • High Transmission & Low Reflection – Delivers >94% visible light transmission with <2% surface reflection for improved readability and clarity.
  • Large-Format Capability – Large sized polycarbonate sheets designed for large-area and display-scale applications.
  • Scratch & Chemical Resistance – Hard-coated surfaces improve durability and resistance to abrasion and chemical exposure.
  • High Impact Resistance – Significantly stronger than acrylic or glass, making it ideal for large-format installations.
  • UV Stability – Maintains optical performance during long-term indoor and outdoor exposure.
  • Easy Machining & Fabrication – Can be cut, machined, and finished efficiently despite large sheet dimensions.
  • Lightweight Construction – Substantially lighter than glass panels of comparable size for easier handling and installation.
  • Oleophobic Surface Treatment – Reduces fingerprints and smudging while simplifying cleaning and maintenance on large panels.
  • Single-Sided AR Coating Option – Can be manufactured with anti-reflective coating applied to one side only to meet specific optical or cost requirements.

Thickness selection for anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets typically depends on span, mounting method, impact resistance, and handling requirements.

  • 3.0mm (0.118″)
  • 6.0mm (0.237″) made to order
  • Standard size: 48 x 96″
  • Custom sizes: Anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets can be supplied in custom sizes. Maximum dimensions depend on application, coating process limits, handling considerations, and fabrication requirements. Contact us to discuss options.

Can be fabricated and finished to customer specifications.

Fabrication services for anti-reflective polycarbonate sheets include cutting, machining, drilling, and edge finishing so customers receive ready-to-install components rather than raw oversized panels that can be difficult to handle.
